Eat a real meal before you come in - low blood sugar during a long session is the number one cause of lightheadedness and early stops. Wear or bring clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo placement. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before (it thins the blood and makes tattooing harder). Stay hydrated. Arrive rested. That's genuinely all you need to do. Don't over-research on the day of - trust the artist you chose.
We provide aftercare instructions at every appointment, but the basics: keep it wrapped for the first few hours, wash gently with unscented soap, apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion when it starts to feel tight or dry, and stay out of direct sun and standing water for 2–3 weeks. Don't pick at peeling skin. Let it peel on its own. Most tattoos look their worst around day 4–6 and their best at week 4 when the surface skin has fully healed.
Our artists charge an hourly rate of $180–$220/hour depending on the artist. Small pieces (1–2 hours) are typically quoted as a flat rate. Large or complex work is quoted at our hourly rate after an in-person or photo consultation. We don't quote prices over Instagram DM - too many variables. Come in for a 15-minute consultation and we'll give you an honest estimate.
Yes. We touch up our own work at no charge within 6 months of the original appointment, provided the tattoo healed correctly and wasn't damaged by sun exposure, abrasion, or picking during healing. Bring the healed piece in for a look before booking - most healed tattoos don't need touch-ups, but the ones that do are easy to address.
